Expository Essays
Introduction for the First-Time Visitor

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to my website.  To see a quick overview of my works, select “Selected Works” from the home page.

By selecting “Exhibitions”, you will notice several online exhibitions, including The Gold in the Modern-Day Spirit of Old and The Gold and the Gold Rush in the American West The Gold in the Modern-Day Spirit of Old consists of a sequence of six galleries of paintings and drawings that bring to life the contrast between the pure gold and the forged ring in a pictorial epic cycle influence by Nordic legends and the river Rhine and its daughters. Throughout time, a countless variety of stories unfold, but the unchanging center of their creation is the subject of the The Gold in the Modern-Day Spirit of Old.  The Gold and the Gold Rush in the American West is a transition from the former exhibition, but the focus is on the frontier of the American West.  Here we see the motion of the primary colors as they combine and separate again, creating the forms of trees and animals, of mountains, rivers, and rocks, set against a western sky.  Both exhibitions are complemented by written commentaries.

Essays” consists of several expository essays, explaining my approach to colors and more in-depth expositions of The Gold in the Modern-Day Spirit of Old and The Gold and the Gold Rush in the American West.

I have also posted some of the colors that I use in my palette.
